Scouts packed up their fishing poles and headed out for a weekend Fishing trip this fall. Each Scout was given a hook, a sinker and a can to collect bait in. They were shown how to walk quietly through the damp grass at night and catch night crawlers, a very important skill for any fisherman to learn.

Each Scout learned how to bait hooks.
The Perch were biting that day but they were released back into the river.

Scouts learned to identify the fish they caught, measure and weigh to see if they were legal to keep. They even had a lesson on how to fix the fish for breakfast.
